If you are looking for a great weekend workout, why not REGISTER for PACEPerformance’s Bike for Mike Mega Training Day being held on Saturday, February 16th 2013 at the Atrium of McMaster Innovation Park (MIP)!

This 3 hour cycling session is being held in support of Mike’s Bikes….a comprehensive program for providing bikes, helmets, bells, lights and locks to children across Hamilton founded in memory of avid cyclist Mike Chamberlain, who died on May 29, 2010. In partnership with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic School Board, Mike’s Bikes program teaches bike safety and maintenance while helping to foster pride of ownership and regular bike usage for improved health and fitness for children in Hamilton.

Mike's Bikes Goal is a bike for every child in Hamilton!

In June 2012 a pilot of Mike’s Bikes was run at the Holy Name of Jesus elementary school. Click here to read more about the pilot that saw over 110 bikes delivered to students and their families.

The Mike’s Bikes initiative is being expanded in 2013. Building off of the success of the pilot, Mike’s Bikes hopes to provide an additional 200 bikes to students and families at Holy Name of Jesus.
