Check out Sonja’s Race Report below:
“Iron Girl was a fantastic event with a great vibe. It was very well organized with great touches for all the Iron Girls: an amenities station at the port-o-potties; awesome prizes; a great expo with triathlon clothing and supplies (What girl doesn’t like to SHOP!?) and of course… shoes! There was more too… great post race food and free massages. What more could a girl want!?
I liked the point-to-point swim with the option of swimming in shallow water. The 2nd portion of the race was a nice flat bike route, and the run course had a good variety of terrain with even a bit of trail running.
Fellow Iron Girls were very encouraging during the race and it was great to see IRONDame Janette Kirch and other Triathlon Club of Burlington members racing there as well. I will definitely do this race again. I plan to participate annually and I will also fundraise for the great cause of fighting cancer next year.“ ~ IRONDame Sonja Bedic
