IRONDames Set To Run Around The Bay 30K Road Race – March 24, 2013

Hamilton’s Around the Bay Road Race is the oldest on the continent, first run in 1894, three years before the first running of the Boston Marathon. It is an event that is rich in tradition and for many athletes marks the start of their competitive race season. World class and amateur runners alike find the challenging course around Hamilton’s natural harbour a true test.

IRONDames Grace Armstrong, Cindy Mattie, Shirley SpeakmanAndrea Buzza and Judy Gibson have paired up to complete the distance in 2-Person Relay teams.

Officially “Sold Out” this year’s Around the Bay 30K Road Race will see a total of 12,050 participants competing in the 30K, 5k, and 2 & 3 Person Relays categories. The start gun goes off at 9:30 am!
