Records Set At 4th Annual Lace up for LOVE

The IRONDames would like to thank all those walkers, runners, volunteers and sponsors who helped make our 4th Annual Lace up for LOVE Walk/Run the best yet! Despite cool temperatures and strong winds, 196 Moms kicked off their Mother’s Day alongside family members and friends, for a record setting total of 578 participants and $52,020 raised in support of our Construction Campaign for Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan Houses’ new Cancer Exercise Facility!

Thank you to our Mother’s Day Market vendors and activity volunteers. We hope this years’ participants enjoyed the face painting, purple feather hair extensions by Total Beauty Essentials, the gifts for Mom (Skinsations Spa, Silpada Jewellery by Madge Barr), the flower bouquets, the massages by Edgar Family Chiropractic            and our Silent Auction.

The IRONDames would also like to thank Burlington and Aldershot Ward One Councillor, Rick Craven for taking the time to join us as the guest starter for the 1k Walk/Run.

As always, the kids crossing the finish line were awarded our signature medals, but this year with a twist…they were chocolate covered cookies! As well, in celebration of Mother’s Day all Moms received an IRONDame Original®Buff, urging them to continue to “Believe, Inspire and Persevere”, which is of course what moms are best at!

Video and Photographs of 4th Annual Lace up for LOVE Are Now Available For Viewing and Download!

This year we had videographer, Joe Van Landschoot and photographers, Erin Valickis and Trent Dilkie recording our event. We think you will agree that Joe’s video and Erin’s and Trent’s photos are fantastic; catching participants both on course and with their families, as well as the overall spirit of the day. They are free for you to download and can be found by clicking on the following links:
