The Triathlon Club of Burlington (TCoB)

TCoB is dedicated to improving the fitness, performance, and knowledge of all triathletes from novice to experienced. The IRONDames have been active TCoB members since their inception. In 2010, five IRONDames trained with the club for Ironman Canada. This season there are 15 IRONDames training with TCoB in preparation for sprint to Ironman triathlons, as well as in for the Great Canadian Mountain Traverse.

If you are attempting a triathlon for the first time, are an active age group competitor, or are working towards Ironman, TCoB creates a productive environment for training and a relaxed atmosphere for socializing.

90 Members strong for the 2012 season, the club offers a great mix of ability levels and a diverse summer training program which includes: brick and track workouts, group bike rides and open water swimming.

Membership is only $90 for the year, and includes an OAT (Ontario Association of Triathletes) membership. Membership benefits include:

➢ Membership in the Ontario Association of Triathletes (OAT);

  1. To Jurgen and to answer your qoutsien is it possible to walk 1 mph. I work out at a health club and of course, while your on your individual machine you are always, out of curiousity looking to see how other people are doing. One of the most motivational persons I have ever seen working out was someone that was going at a pace of 1 mile per 2 hours. Yes she was going at .5 on the treadmill. She was probably about 85 years old and the look of enthusiasm and joy on her face as she plodded along was enough to brake your heart. To answer your qoutsien, yes.
