IRONDame Debbie Valickis Can’t Get Enough Of The Subaru Ironman Muskoka 70.3 Race!

September 9, 2013 was a terrific day for IRONDame Debbie Valickis as she competed for the 2nd year in a row in Subaru Ironman Muskoka’s 70.3 race in Huntsville, Ontario! The race was won by Canadian and Hamiltonian Lionel Sanders in a time of 4:01:20! Australian Mirinda Carfrae claimed the women’s title in a time of 4:29:34. Check out Debbie’s thought’s on the 2013 Subaru Ironman Muskoka 70.3 Race as well as her  results below:

“The Muskoka 70.3 couldn’t have been held on a nicer September day. The lake was still fairly warm, the roads were dry and the town folk were awesome hosts of this year’s half Ironman event. My oldest friend, Marilyn (since kindergarten!) graciously offered her place at Deerhurst so I just woke up on Sunday morning (Sept 8th), walked down to the waterfront and joined in the fun. I loved every part of this race and was happy to participate as an IRONDame and raise some funds for the exercise program at our Wellspring Centre in Oakville. I felt stronger than last year and certainly the recovery was faster. I am looking forward to some new challenges this fall (Detroit Half and Hamilton Road 2 Hope) and next year! Woohoo!” ~ IRONDame Debbie Valickis
