This past Sunday, four (4) IRONDames were in the field of 2,300 men and women competing in IRONMAN Lake Placid, NY, USA. The 2.4 MI Swim, 112 MI Bike and 26.2MI Run was a challenge, but with steely perseverance our IRONDames handily conquered the Lake Placid course and crossed the finish line to earn the IRONMAN title! Pat Shaw: Age Grouper F 60-64/ Swim Time: 1:40:15 / Swim Div Rank: 3 / Swim Gender Rank: 586 / Overall Swim Rank: 2,399 – A PB over her 2010 IRONMAN Lake Placid Swim By 5:27! Pat was pulled from the Bike Course by medics as she was suffering from dehydration, but is fine and recovering. She will be in top form for her 70.3 IRONMAN World Championships in Las Vegas in September.
