Yoga for Runners with Caron Shepley

Yoga is a powerful strength training tool for runners and cyclists. You work hard during your workouts; learn how to ensure that injuries don’t slow you down from Caron Shepley, who will be leading 4 power yoga sessions at the River Oaks Community Church, 2435 Munns Avenue in Oakville. Sessions are to be held:

  • June 23, 2012
  • July 28, 2012
  • August 25, 2012
  • September 15, 2012

All classes start at 8:30 am and run to 9:30 am.

BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat!)

Cost: $10 per class or $30 if you pay in advance for all 4

Caron is a graduate of McMaster University where she received an honors degree in physical education, Caron has worked in corporate fitness for over 15 years.  As Corporate Director at Personal Best she maintains a hands-on approach to the facilities managed by Personal Best. Caron is a master yoga instructor, trains fitness professionals to be instructors and has her own series of DVDs.  Caron has completed the Ironman Triathlon five times and won a silver medal for Canada at the world Triathlon Championships. The IRONDames have benefitted from Caron’s incredible and challenging instruction in the past at Personal Best’s Training Camps in Tucson Arizona.   1. Rating The mat it self is a great design but it is thnnier than I was expecting; however, this is my first yoga mat. It really is sticky when it is on the floor. It took a few days to completely get rid of the smell from being in the packaging.
